Radio Lounge wraps up production on a national radio campaign for Cole & Ashcroft, LP who just recently announced the launch of adzy®, a free mobile app for both iPhone and Android that lets radio listeners capture valuable content on their smartphone devices when listening to an advertisement.
“adzy connects radio listeners with advertisers to deliver timely and relevant content beyond the traditional broadcast commercial”, said Paul Wagner, President of Cole&Ashcroft. “For advertisers, adzymakes radio interactive and deepens engagement beyond the actual ad run time.”
The new smartphone application provides essential functionality for radio listeners that allow users to tag an ad by tapping or shaking their smartphone device when hearing a commercial that has been set up with an adzy tone. Using sound recognition, an adzy associated with a commercial is returned to the smartphone device with links to valuable content specifically created to support that ad.
adzy is an end-to-end solution that affords advertisers the ability to set up links tailored to the commercial’s advertising message. Links are returned with the adzy and can be customized to include a brand’s website, sweepstakes entry, special offer/coupon, poll, how-to video, and more.
Other innovative functions of the adzy app include affording users the ability to store adzys in History and a function that allows users to replay the ad on the smartphone device. As well, users can post and share adzys to social media channels.
“One advantage of adzy is that it is simple and focused,” says Wagner. “The new adzy app leverages a streamlined user experience that eliminates the need to remember important parts of an ad after it has run. For advertisers and radio stations, adzy activates key messages and is supported by essential set-up tools that can be used by a wide range of traditional media buyers from major brands to local advertisers.”
