The world’s most famous mechanical musicians Daft Punk now have some stiff competition in the shape of Japanese bionic band the Z- Machines. They’re Harder, Better, Faster, (and) Stronger than a real band and they plan to prove it with their Robot Rock.
The all robot band were created by music lovers from Tokyo University who, supervised by Japanese artists and creators, designed the group the with the hopes of advancing Japan’s cutting edge party scene. Just like a real band, the Z – Machines are aiming for the stars, with the creators of the band hoping they could eventually perform in space.
The high tech trio includes a 78 fingered guitarist fitted with 12 picks, an electronic octopus of a drummer who can wield 21 drum sticks and a keyboard player that can shoot laser beams from its eyes.
Z – Machines made their live debut in Tokyo in front of 100 people and were joined on stage by Japanese girl group AMOYAMO.
